The GREAT FLOOD reset the world to zero. Since then, most land has been flooded with water, while the rest is covered in ice. The mainland is hostile and scarce for supplies, haunted by creatures the ANCIENTS only encountered in their nightmares. Humankind took refuge in the sky, building ports in the clouds and villages in the mountains.

Little technology survived from the old world. The new generations rely on vintage technology and fashion, inspired by what they could find in the surviving history books. Thus, the main transportation became airships and propeller planes, while worldwide communication depends on radios, letters, and Morse code.

At the center of it all, the VAST SEA divides the world in two. This massive body of water is believed to host waves grazing the clouds, and tornadoes scraping the depths. Those who dared cross the VAST SEA in the early days were few and far between. Those who survived returned with horrifying stories of a Ghost Fleet and whispering treasures.

These days, the stories of the VAST SEA have descended into legend, and no pilot in their right mind would test their accuracy.
